Friday, October 28, 2022 | 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. | Zoom | 1.5 Ethics MCLE Credit
As personal injury attorneys we all want to do what is best for our clients. But sometimes a fact pattern might have possible implications beyond our area of expertise; situations like worker’s comp credit rights, means-based social security/Medi-Cal enrollment, etc. Very few lawyers have sufficient experience in all of these areas of law to be able to provide clients with multi-faceted advice. So we’ve brought in three lawyers who practice in these overlapping areas – each with experience in personal injury, as well – to help provide us with some background on the law in these areas and to help us appreciate the issues we should be looking out for. Betsy Kimball will also refresh us on our ethical obligations in these scenarios and give us practical advice on how to protect ourselves from inadvertent repercussions for a client’s failure to appreciate the limits on our role in his/her case(s).
Attendees of this seminar will receive 1.5 hours of specialized Ethics MCLE credit.
